Hello, I am Briana and I can be shy and humble at times henceforth my difficulty sharing about myself. I care deeply about others and wish to spread love, kindness and joy to the world as best I can. I hope to inspire others and to help them breed resilience as I once did and do daily.
I would like each student to feel as if they belong and that they can individually all make a difference if they so choose or want to. I have grown up in a negative environment and have chosen to defy the odds of becoming as positive as I can be. I love to read, write, and learn as it helps me grow as a person. I value activity and hope to add this into my future classrooms as I want education to be the opposite of boring for students. There are tons of different quotes I have read that ring true to my beliefs but this one sang truer; “I have come to believe that a great teacher is a great artist, and that teaching might even be the greatest of the arts, since the medium is the human mind and spirit” ( John Steinbeck). I do not believe that I am simply teaching the students a curriculum from a book but rather teaching core foundations that can guide them into who they wish to become.
I value all BC professional standards but the three that stood out most to me are in paraphrase that I value respect highly and want to ensure to the best of my abilities that students feel respected. Secondly I value keeping the reputation of teachers in good standing as I believe teachers have such an impact in lives. Thirdly I highly value involving parents in their children’s education and all other mentors to support the best outcome of the students.
